The Blink Spot

Attention BLINKs! This is an exciting time to be in the BLACKPINK fandom. As we know, Rosé, Jisoo, Lisa and Jennie have been hard at work promoting and releasing their solo albums. Jennie, the final member of the group to release a new solo album, will be releasing her album Ruby on March 7th. That's just a few days away! In addition to these exciting new albums, BLACKPINK will be embarking on a world tour, which as of right now includes stops in Goyang, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London and Tokyo. Being located in the United States, I wanted to get tickets for one of the New York shows. Here's how that experience went for me:

I entered the Ticketmaster waiting room about twenty minutes before tickets went on sale. Once the sale started, I was in the queue with about 5,000 people ahead of me. That felt intimidating, as I wasn't sure how long I would be waiting to buy tickets. Thankfully, the queue moved fairly quickly, and I was able to purchase my tickets within thirty minutes of entering the queue (this went especially fast since it gave me some time to enjoy a taro bubble tea).

Once it was my turn to purchase tickets, I was able to look at the seating map and choose the section I wanted to sit in. Price ranges varied. The seats closest to the stage and in the pit were between $650 and $700. The seats furthest from the stage were between $180 and $300+. The tickets I got were somewhere in the middle, both in terms of location and price. Overall, this was a smooth purchasing experience.

I am curious to see how this tour will go. Will the show be a compilation of BLACKPINK's biggest hits, alongside some performances from each member's new solo work? Will we get any new BLACKPINK music before the tour starts in July? Either way, there are many things to look forward to from each member and from the group as a whole. I look forward to seeing this tour and I look forward to getting to meet other BLINKs!
